Facebook and Instagram users can connect their digital wallet to either app to share their NFTs on both.

Meta (formerly Facebook) announced on Monday that almost 2.9 billion users of the platform will have the ability to share their digital and NFT collections. Facebook and Instagram users can send peerless tokens (NFT) and digital collectibles by connecting their wallets to their accounts.

The announcement followed an update to an August 4th blog post in which Meta said Instagram users in 100 countries could use their NFTs in Blockchain Flow or wallets that support Ethereum blockchain or Polygon Connect to your Instagram accounts.

We are introducing the ability to send digital collections worldwide via Instagram and Facebook.
You can now connect your digital wallet to either app to share your NFTs across both.

What NFTs are you excited to share?

It seems that connecting digital wallets to Facebook or Instagram is only possible through the mobile applications of these programs and cannot be done through third-party browsers. However, increasing NFT access to smartphones and installing one of Meta’s apps could lead to increased revenue or increased adoption of these apps. As we read in the previous report of Blockchain Homeland, in May, Meta Company announced that it plans to launch its cryptocurrency transaction and payment service.

Although Meta announced in February that it was abandoning the Diem stablecoin project after facing pressure from global regulators, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said there is a “huge opportunity” to fund trillions of dollars in the digital asset space. In the second quarter of 2022 (Spring 1401), this company had a 1% decrease in revenue compared to the previous year.
